I used to hate black tie City dinners and would do my utmost to escape them in my days as a crony capitalist. They were utterly boring with some prat like William Hague being paid £20,000 to tell the same tired old jokes as he did the year before, and with a lot of smug men congratulating each other after another high paid year of shuffling paper and creating no value for anyone but themselves. There were some women guests but they were usually just as boring and smug as the men. It is a joy not to have to make excuses about not attending such evenings these days as I enjoy my hermit like existence in Greece and Bristol.

At no-one is watching a clock yesterday AIM listed Hotel Corp (HCP) directors published a document seeking to thwart boardroom change at this disaster story and save their grubby tax free pay packets. Sadly for them I have obtained a series of emails which show that the document contained a series of lies. Worse still I have obtained accounts showing how 22% shareholder and ex Nomad to Hotel Corp, Shore Capital has coined it in from this vehicle, making millions, as shareholders have lost everything. The directors and Shore Cap oppose Yeoman and wish to pursue another venture similar to the last one which cost shareholders everything but made Shore millions ( and paid the useless board too much for doing sweet FA). I have just taken a call from Lavender Hill Police station because crony capitalist Angus Forrest of POS Company Tern (TERN) has reported me for harassment. I had a great chat with a very nice police officer who said that the case was no closed and that Mr Forrest would be told “there is no case”.
I pointed out that three times in the past few weeks this website has pointed out that Tern has issued a statement via RNS which is factually inaccurate and that Tern has then had to publish a correction. Our job is to save investors by pointing out such matters and that is not harassment. The police officer agreed totally describing Mr Forrest's complaint as "silly."

1Spatial (SPA) announced last week that its chairman Steve Berry was to leave with immediate effect. Good. I have exposed this utter rotter as being up to no good at all at another company on AIM – Touchstone Gold (see HERE).
Berry was not key to the 1Spatial management team but was becoming an embarrassment and so he had to go. Hats off to the executive directors for giving him the order of the boot without compensation. That was the right call.
Directors on AIM have to realise that being a director of a PLC does not require you to have the morals of Momma Theresa but that certain standards are required. Putting out misleading presentations as the crony capitalist Berry has done at Touchstone (TGL) falls beneath that standard.

City grandee Sir Peter Hambro is quoted in today's Daily Mail, bleating about how prvate investors in Petropavlovsk (POG) hate him and might allow his POS company to go into administration. Good. I hope they do. I view Mr Hambro and his company with contempt. He is a rich man and shareholders have lost up to 98% of their cash. Brian Toye runs a listed company Toye & Co (TOYE) and has now made a 35p a share offer to buy out his fellow stockholders. The offer is disgracefully low – a 30% discount to the share price and a 70% discount to the last NAV. The manner of the offer also begs a stack of questions as to whether rules have been followed. The NEDs said No. But it will go through unless regulators intervene. This is disgraceful crony capitalism and POS Brian Toye has serious questions to answer.
One shareholder has now contacted Mr Toye, his advisors and the Takeover Panel asking for an investigation. Let’s see what happen. His letter is below. And it will horrify you.

On Monday 30 June we will be handing out nine trophies in the 2014 AIM Cesspit awards. All those who have made the Aim Casino the crony capitalist den of iniquity that it is will be honoured.
There will be guest speakers present: Evil Knievil and Lucian Miers and everyone should have fun. No lawyers will be allowed to attend so you can say what you want.
The meal offered is a three course (pizza and pasta) offering featuring such delights as the Range Resources (RRL) pizza, a bit fishy and with very little oil.

It has taken a while but my broker has today completed the purchase of £7.50 worth of shares in Leed Resources (LDP). I care not what the price is. This is a write-off on day 1. My sole aim is to wave my paper share certificate as I wander up to London to destroy Leed’s useless chairman Peter Redmond at the AGM on 6th February. THIS IS WAR!
Redmond is a crony capitalist. He chairs several AIM companies, trousering well over £100,000 a year in total for doing sweet FA. Where his companies have made big investments they have to be written off - Leed onto Manas Coal & (Dead) Kennedy Ventures into Bison Energy.
